如果你的推薦信是要給某一個人的，你應該加上稱呼，例如dear dr. smith， dear mr. jones，等等。如果你的推薦信非常general，你在稱呼的地方寫to whom it may concern 或者不寫稱呼也可以。

推薦信的第一段應該說明你和被推薦人的關系，包括你是怎么認識他/她的，還有你寫這封推薦信的資格。

英文推薦信標準格式：推薦信的第二段應該包括被推薦人的個人信息，說明他/她的資格、能力，還有你為什么要為他/她寫推薦信。如果必要的話，可以分幾段來描述細節。
