等漆料內外都晾干了，父親又取出了另一個寶物——打磨砂紙。你看看它用右手的拇指和中指把打磨砂紙彎成弧型，用食指抵住打磨砂紙，在涂了漆料的地區用勁磨擦。為了更好地墻壁更為整平，他一會兒橫豎交叉著擦，一會兒左右往返的磨，有時候也要喊著圈的搓。只聽“沙沙沙”一陣響，墻壁細致的漆料屑像雪花一樣紛紛揚揚落下來。一會兒時間，父親就竣工了。墻壁多整平呀！看見自身的杰作，父親禁不住自夸：“極致！”母親接了句：“臭美！”我踏入前，接近墻壁細心一看，原先的小坑小洼都不見了。拿手一摸，補過的地區由于打磨拋光細心，真像魚皮一樣光潔呀！
父親不但涂刷技藝呱呱叫，學起電焊工也很在行的。爺爺奶奶家新房子翻修沒請電焊工，全部的電纜線全是父親一手走線安裝的。紅線、藍線這一洞進，那一個洞處，真不知道他是怎么分到清晰上上下下幾十個洞的。穿好啦線，也要安裝電源插座，他又熟練的把二根線頭的表皮削掉一節，正中間的銅絲一擰，易如反掌就拿下了。
為了更好地進行這種不簡單的技術活，父親為自己配備了各種各樣專用工具。我家中起子、扳子、錘子，電筆、電纜線、電源開關，乃至梯子、手電鉆、割刀那全是一應俱全啊。
